3 Acupressure Points for a Calmer Bedtime

A 2-minute wind-down you can do in bed — no tools, no apps. Not a cure, just a small habit that helps your body slow down. Most people feel the difference after 1–2 weeks of doing it nightly.

HT7 Shenmen point

HT7 · Shenmen

神门 / Spirit Gate

On the crease of your inner wrist, just below the pinky side. Press gently for 30 seconds on each side with slow breaths.

KI1 Yongquan point

KI1 · Yongquan

涌泉 / Gushing Spring

Center of the sole, about a third down from the toes. Rub in slow circles with your thumb — grounding before sleep.

Yintang point

Yintang

印堂 / Third Eye

Between the eyebrows, at the bridge of the nose. A light touch here, breathe out slow — the classic "let go" point.

How to use it

  1. Lights off, lying down. One point at a time.
  2. Press or rub each for 30 seconds — don't rush, match your breathing.
  3. Do all three, then let your hands rest. That's the whole routine.
  4. Keep it up for 1–2 weeks before judging. A habit beats a one-off.

Educational only — not medical advice. These points are part of traditional self-care and are not a treatment for insomnia or any condition. Skip if you are pregnant, on blood thinners, or have diabetic foot neuropathy. If sleep trouble is ongoing or severe, talk to a doctor.
