PRESS HERE › Period cramps
A gentle routine for the days around your period: one point at the ankle, one at the inner thigh, one on the foot. About two minutes, sitting somewhere warm and unhurried.
You will also see them written by other names — same points, different naming systems. They are worth knowing by both names so you can look them up elsewhere.
三阴交 · inner ankle, 4 fingers up
Traditionally part of monthly-comfort routines.
How you know you are on it: A distinct soreness in the soft channel just behind the shin bone.
What people miss: Pressing on the bone itself. Feel for the dip behind it — that is where the point sits.
血海 · inner thigh, above kneecap
Traditionally part of monthly-comfort routines.
How you know you are on it: A dull ache on the muscle, well away from the joint.
What people miss: Pressing too close to the kneecap. Go about two finger-widths higher, onto the fleshy part.
太冲 · top of foot, between toes
Used in traditional routines for everyday stress and a calmer mood.
How you know you are on it: A clear ache in the dip between the two bones — one of the more noticeable points.
What people miss: Searching in the toe webbing. Walk your thumb back toward the ankle until you find the hollow between the long bones of the foot.
These three are a traditional monthly-comfort combination, often used alongside a warm compress on the lower belly. Press slowly — rushing it defeats the purpose.
The points above are free to read and always will be. What costs money is the sequence and the timing — how long to hold each one, in what order, paired with which gua sha area, on which day.
